- £115m Jackpot Event draw on 15 September -
- 13 guaranteed UK millionaires on 13 October -
- ALLSTARS programme to support indies continues -

National Lottery retailers can expect a surge in sales and footfall over the next month with two bumper EuroMillions draws – with a combined sales uplift of over 85% predicted. Next Friday’s draw (15 September) will see a huge jackpot of €130 million – an estimated £115 million* – and this will be followed with a special draw next month which will guarantee 13 UK millionaires.

Next week’s £115 million is one of the biggest boosted jackpots ever organised by Camelot and the eight other EuroMillions countries – and is sure to bring about a sales frenzy. And the best part is, if no one scoops next Friday’s massive jackpot, it will continue to roll – resulting in even more amazing sales opportunities for National Lottery retailers.

James Pearson, Head of Retail at Camelot, said: “Whenever the EuroMillions jackpot gets to £100 million or more, we see a huge sales increase – so next week’s special £115 million draw is sure to be a big seller. Retailers should make sure they have their Jackpot Event POS sited to make the most of this fantastic event.

“To keep the sales momentum going, next month, we will make 13 guaranteed UK millionaires on Friday the 13th – a sales opportunity that will definitely not prove unlucky for our retail partners. In addition to the sales commission earned and the footfall generated by selling National Lottery tickets, every ticket and Scratchcard that retailers sell helps contribute to the £30 million raised weekly for UK Good Causes.”

These two massive sales opportunities follow on from the recently-introduced ALLSTARS programme, which has been running over the summer and which aims to help independent outlets make the most of The National Lottery in their store. The first phase of the ongoing programme has seen over 28,000 store visits made, with independent retailers receiving over 100,000 new and additional permanent point-of-sale items – such as pavement signs, floor mats, poster frames and door signs – to help raise the profile of The National Lottery in their store.

*The in-store POS shows an estimated jackpot amount of £110 million – which was the best estimate based on the exchange rate when the POS went to print. The revised estimate of £115 million will show on in-store media screens, TV/radio advertising, etc.
